Mount Engineering Plc (AIM:MOU), the manufacturer and supplier of certified explosion proof fittings and supplier of valves and actuators, predominantly to the oil and gas industry, today announces a number of changes to the Board.

Colin Ainger has resigned as Non-Executive Chairman. Colin Ainger accepted the appointment as Chairman of Mount, at the time of its flotation on AIM in July 2007, on the basis that the appointment would be for a period of 3 years. Having completed that term, and having led the Board successfully, he considers this is an appropriate time for him to stand down from the Board of Mount.

Alan McClue has been appointed Executive Chairman and Colin Davies FCCA has been appointed as Finance Director. Alan McClue has been a Non-Executive Director since Mount floated in 2007 and was previously Chairman of the Group prior to that date. Colin Davies has been a Non-Executive Director since Mount was floated in 2007 and was previously a Director of the Group prior to that date.

The Board will look to appoint non-executive directors in due course and is currently considering a number of possible candidates.
