Voting Rights and Capital

In conformity with Paragraph 5.6.1R of the FSA’s Disclosure and Transparency Rules, Tate & Lyle PLC (the “Company”) would like to notify the market of the following:

The Company’s issued capital as at 31 July 2010 consisted of 466,296,838 ordinary shares of which 322,713 were held in Treasury, and 2,394,000 preference shares which have limited voting rights.

Therefore, the total number of shares with full voting rights in the Company as at 31 July 2010 was 465,974,125 and this figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Tate & Lyle PLC under the FSA’s Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
