TANJONG PUBLIC LIMITED COMPANY ("TANJONG" OR "COMPANY")

- SUSPENSION OF TRADING

The Company has today made a request to Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd ("Bursa Securities") for a suspension of trading of its securities from 9.00 a.m. on 28 July 2010 to 5.00 p.m. on 30 July 2010 (Malaysian time), pending an announcement of a corporate proposal.

The request for suspension to Bursa Securities was made pursuant to subparagraph 3.1(c) of Practice Note No. 2 on Requests for Suspension of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Securities.

The Company will also make a similar request to the UK Listing Authority for a suspension of trading of its securities from 9.00 a.m. on 28 July 2010 to 5.00 p.m. on 30 July 2010 (United Kingdom time) pursuant to LR 5.3 of the FSA Listing Rules, in view that Tanjong's securities are also listed on the London Stock Exchange.
