Retirement of a Director

The Company announces that Michael Sunderland, Private Client Director, is to retire from the Board and the Company with effect from 28 February 2011.

Michael, 64, joined the Company in 1972 and has held a number of senior executive positions since that time, including Chief Executive from 1996 to 2006. The Board would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Michael for his more than 38 years of dedicated service to the Company.

Following Michael's retirement Chris Kitchenham, a director of the Company's Walker Crips Stockbrokers subsidiary, will head up the Private Client department.
