Sagicor Financial Corporation (SFC) Elects New Director
The Board of Sagicor Financial Corporation is pleased to announce the election of Mr Peter Clarke as a Director of the Company, following the 2010 Annual Meeting.
Mr Clarke is a Financial Consultant with a 22-year career in stock broking. Between 1984 and 2000, he was the Managing Director of one of the leading stock brokers in Trinidad and Tobago, Money Managers Limited, and on the acquisition of Money Managers by West Indies Stockbrokers Limited (WISE), he became Managing Director of WISE, and was later appointed its Chief Executive, until his retirement in
2005.
Mr Clarke is a Director of a number of companies in Trinidad and Tobago and is a former Chairman and Director of the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange.
Mr Clarke is a member of the University of the West Indies Development and Endowment Fund, and the Finance Council of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Port-of-Spain. He was previously a Director of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
Mr Clarke, a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago, obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Yale University and a Law degree from Downing College, Cambridge University. He was called to the Bar as a member of Grays Inn, London, and to the Bar of Trinidad and Tobago. He also practised as a Barrister-at-Law in private practice in Trinidad and Tobago.
