RESULTS OF ADJOURNED EGM

Maple Energy plc (AIM: MPLE; LIMA: MPLE), an integrated energy company with assets in Peru, is pleased to report the results of its previously announced Extraordinary General Meeting (the "EGM") held today at its registered office in Dublin, Ireland.

At the EGM, the shareholders approved the proposed resolutions, as set out in the notice of the meeting to shareholders dated 30 March 2010, to provide the directors with authority to allot new Ordinary Shares up to an aggregate nominal amount of US$1,000,000 in connection with the Placing and the power to allot such new Ordinary Shares as if the statutory pre-emption rights of shareholders did not apply.
