Statement of Annual General Meeting

Morson (AIM: MRN.L), the UK's leading provider of technical engineering personnel and project design solutions, supplying over 9,000 highly skilled white collar personnel to the aerospace and defence, nuclear and power, rail and other technical industries today issues the following statement ahead of the Group's Annual General Meeting to be held at 9.30am this morning.  At the meeting Gerry Mason, Chairman will make the following statement on current trading:

"In the period since we announced our Preliminary Results on 23 March 2010 our trading environment has remained challenging.  However, the Board is confident about Morson's prospects and trading remains in line with directors' expectations.  Our business model is strong and we have excellent visibility of earnings, driven by the requirements of major key UK infrastructure expenditure including nuclear new build and decommissioning activity, maintenance programmes and wider International opportunities. We retain a strong order book, coupled with a robust balance sheet. 

We continue to evaluate and seek growth opportunities and will make selective investments where they will add value for shareholders.  The current economic climate continues to be difficult and any upturn is still hard to predict, however we believe that we are well placed to benefit from any future improvement."

Established in 1969 Morson is the largest and one of the longest established technical staffing companies in the UK. The Group currently provides personnel on long term assignments for some well known major infrastructure/defence projects. These include the construction of the Olympic Games Development, CVF aircraft carrier, rail maintenance and upgrades for Network Rail, Transport for London and also nuclear design, decommissioning, maintenance and asset improvement.
