Confirmation of Board Changes

Imperial Tobacco Group PLC confirms that, following the announcement on 10 November 2009 of changes to the Board of Directors of the Company, the following changes have taken place with effect from today:

Mrs A J Cooper is appointed Chief Executive in succession to Mr G Davis, who has retired from the Board.

The Board has agreed that Mr Davis will remain an employee of the Company until 4 June 2010 to allow him to complete certain external commitments on behalf of the Company.
