Resignation of Director

FBD Holdings plc (the "Company") announces that at a meeting of the Board held today, Mr. Padraig Walshe, former president of the Irish Farmers' Association, tendered his resignation as a non-executive Director of the Company which was accepted by the Board.

The Board wishes to record its appreciation to Mr. Walshe for his advice and input since his appointment in 2006 and to wish Mr. Walshe continued success in the future.
