KBC Advanced Technologies plc ("KBC" or the "Company")

Transaction in own shares

KBC announces that on 23 April 2010, it contracted to purchase 321,200 of its own ordinary shares of 2.5p each ("Ordinary Shares") in the market at a price of 48.0p per share. The Ordinary Shares purchased will be cancelled.

Following this purchase, KBC will have 57,048,671 Ordinary Shares in issue and no shares in treasury.

The above figure of 57,048,671 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, KBC under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
