Fenner PLC Appoints Non-Executive Director

Fenner PLC, a world leader in reinforced polymer technology, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Wood as a non-executive director with effect from 1^st April 2010. 

Mr Wood (62) is currently Non-executive Chairman of Siemens Holdings plc. Following an early career in manufacturing and general management with Unilever and other industrial companies he joined Siemens in 1981.  After an initial period in Germany, he had a successful career managing various UK subsidiary and divisional operations before becoming Chief Executive of Siemens plc, Siemens' UK operation's in 1998, a role he held until  2007.

Alan is also a board member of Ceres Power Holdings plc and Corac Group plc.  He is a past President of EEF and is currently Chairman of the German-British Chamber of Industry & Commerce.

Mr Wood will be joining the audit, nominations and remuneration committees of Fenner PLC.
