Appointment of Director

Advanced Power Components plc (AIM: APC), a specialist distributor and manufacturers' representative of electronic components, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Rob Smith as Finance Director to the Board of the Company, with effect from 8 March 2010.

Rob is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has a masters degree in management accounting. His recent experience includes finance Director positions at AIM listed Densitron Technologies plc, a distributor of electronic display products, Curidium Medica plc and Eco City Vehicles plc. Rob's earlier career was spent principally in the electronic components industry working for GEC, Centronic and International Rectifier.

Mr David Brown, who has been serving as interim Finance Director, has resigned this appointment, as planned, and remains Company Secretary.
