                                        TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS

In accordance with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision we would like to notify the
market of the following:

At  the  date of this announcement Centamin Egypt Limited ("Centamin") has an issued share capital
of 1,020,744,478 ordinary shares. Centamin does not hold any ordinary shares in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of Centamin ordinary shares with voting rights is 1,020,744,478.

The above figure (1,020,744,478) may be used by shareholders as a denominator for the calculations
by  which  they will determine if they are required to notify their interests in, or a  change  to
their interest in, Centamin under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
