Caledonia Investments plc ("Caledonia") announces that on 29 January 2010 it purchased 39,208 of its own ordinary shares of 5p each at a price of 1551.7162p per share. These shares are to be held in treasury.

Following the purchase, Caledonia holds 551,437 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has a total of 58,243,344 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding treasury shares) in issue.
