Healthcare Locums plc

Issue of Equity and Total Voting Rights

Healthcare Locums plc ("the Company") announces that it has today issued 500,000 new ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company, following an exercise of options. The options were exercised at a price of 106p per share. 

The new ordinary shares will rank pari passu with existing ordinary shares in the Company and application has been made for these new ordinary shares to be admitted to trading on AIM, which is expected to occur on 27 January 2010. 

Total Voting Rights 

As a consequence of the exercise of share options as detailed above, the Company's issued capital now comprises 105,167,601 ordinary shares of 10p each. There are no ordinary shares held in Treasury. Therefore the total number of voting rights in Healthcare Locums plc is now 105,167,601.  

The above figure of 105,167,601 may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
