Jupiter Second Split Trust PLC ('the Company') received notification from Mr
Harry Hill, a director of the Company, that he has purchased 6,061 Geared
Ordinary shares as part of his regular savings plan at 41.5p per share.
Following this transaction Mr Hill holds a total of 394,451 Geared Ordinary
shares (of which 122,828 are held by Mr Hill's wife and children) and 614,299
Zero Dividend shares representing 0.20% of the total voting rights in the
Company.

There are 216,361,793 Geared Ordinary shares and 432,723,586 Zero Dividend
Preference shares in issue.  On a poll each Geared Ordinary share carries one
vote and each Zero Dividend Preference share carries one vote.  The Packaged
Units consist of one Geared Ordinary share and one Zero Dividend Preference
share.
