BlackRock World Mining Trust plc

The Board of BlackRock World Mining Trust plc (the 'Company') announces the
appointment of Evy Hambro as the Company's named portfolio manager. Evy began
his career with the Investment Manager in 1994, since when he has been closely
involved with the management of the Company's assets.
