Central China Goldfields plc was yesterday notified by Peter Ruxton, the
Company's Chairman, of his purchase yesterday of 200,000 ordinary shares in the
Company at a price of 2. 88p per share.

Following the above transaction, Peter Ruxton's shareholdings in GGG will be:
