The Company has been advised that on 8 January 2010 Halifax Corporate Trustees Limited, trustee of the Cable & Wireless Share Incentive Plan, received Partnership shares and an allocation of Matching shares on behalf of the under mentioned PDMR:

The cash price for the Partnership shares was £1.471 per share.

1 Matching shares will be held in Trust until the third anniversary of the date of grant. If any Partnership shares are removed from the Trust within three years, the corresponding Matching shares will usually be forfeit.
