DS Smith Sells the Business and Assets of Demes Logistics

DS Smith Plc (SMDS), the international packaging manufacturer and office products wholesaler, has completed the sale of the business and assets of Demes Logistics to Cartonplast Holding, the international transport packaging group. Demes had gross assets of €11.2m as at 31 October 2009.

Demes had become a non-core business within the Group's Plastic Packaging segment.
