In accordance with the requirements of Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1 Intertek Group plc is notifying the market that as at 31 December 2009 it had in issue 158,711,209 ordinary 1p shares, all of which have voting rights.

158,711,209 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for their calculations to determine whether they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in their interest in, Intertek Group plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
