Voting Rights and Capital Update

In conformity with the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules DTR 5.6.1R International Power plc hereby notifies the market that as at 31 December 2009, International Power plc's issued share capital consists of 1,522,367,739 ordinary 50 pence shares with voting rights. Each share has equal voting rights and there are no shares held in Treasury. This figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, International Power plc.
