F&C Asset Management plc ("F&C") announces that the Austrian Takeover Commission has extended the period for the notification of a bid and the submission of the offer documents for the shares in C-Quadrat Investment AG (ISIN: AT0000613005) to 40 stock exchange days after the announcement pursuant to sec 5 para 2 Austrian Takeover Act on 10 December 2009, that is until 11 February 2010.

F&C emphasizes that there can be no certainty that any transaction will occur.
