SHARE ISSUE RELATED TO EXERCISE OF OPTIONS IN LONDON MINING

London Mining announces that on 23rd December 2009 it has issued 50,000 new shares to Dr Colin Knight, the Chairman of the Board and primary insider of London Mining following the exercise of an option granted under the terms of the London Mining plc No.2 Share Option Plan (the "Share Option Plan"). The new share capital in London Mining will accordingly be 109,533,795.

The options were exercised on 23rd December 2009 at a strike price of GBP 1.74 per share. After this transaction, Mr. Knight holds 400,000 shares in London Mining and 200,000 options over shares in London Mining granted under the terms of the Share Option Plan.
