 LONDON, 23 December 2009 - European Nickel PLC (”European Nickel” or the
 “Company”) (AIM, PLUS: ENK) received notification on 22 December 2009 from JP
 Morgan Asset Management Holdings Inc that as of 18 December 2009 JP Morgan
 Asset Management (UK) Limited, having purchased 4,450,000, held a total of
 52,250,000 shares representing 11.1% of the ordinary shares of 1p in the
 Company.
