Purchase of Shares by Director

London, 15 December 2009 - The Company was notified on 14 December 2009, that on 11 December Stuart Morris, Non Executive Director of Mwana Africa PLC, purchased 100,000 ordinary shares at a price of 13.9p per share. 

Following this transaction, Stuart Morris has a total beneficial interest in the Company of 400,000 shares.
