David Thomas, Group Finance Director, acquires further shares

In accordance with the requirements of D.T.R. 3.1.2 Barratt Developments PLC (the "Company") was notified on 10 December 2009 that, David Thomas, Group Finance Director, acquired 25,000 ordinary shares (0.0026% of the Company's issued share capital) in the Company at a price of £1.12 per share, in London, on 10 December 2009.

Following the above purchase, David Thomas holds 96,000 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company representing 0.01% of the Company's issued share capital.
