Total Voting Rights

Petra Diamonds Limited, the international diamond mining group, announces that as at 10 December 2009 the total number of issued ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company is 264,005,523, each share having equal voting rights. This increase in shares in issue follows the Company's recent issue of 80 million new Petra shares, being the first tranche of share issued with regards to the placing recently carried out by the Company.

The above figure (264,005,523 shares) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculation by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest, or a change to their interest, in Petra Diamonds under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
