NEW CONTRACT WIN



Matica, the international supplier of card personalisation and card mailing systems, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract by the Italian Government to supply it with the printers, spare parts and consumables which will be used to issue the new Italian Electronic Passport. Matica, in conjunction with its partners, will supply the E-Passport System and consumables needed to the Italian Government, both in Italy and for use in embassies across the world. Matica will also be responsible for servicing the E-Passport System, supplying spare part kits and providing maintenance for all work stations. 


Under the terms of the contract, the first deliveries of Matica's equipment are expected to commence in early 2010, with the first passports being issued in mid-2010 Matica expects to receive approximately  1 million from the contract in 2010 with further future revenues from spare parts and consumables.
