The price of the purchase of the Company's own ordinary shares on 30 November 2009 should have read £6.838024 and not £6.388024 as previously announced ; all other details were correct.


Transaction in Own Shares

Baring Emerging Europe PLC announces that today it has purchased 45,000 of its
own ordinary shares of 10p each at a price of £6.838024 per ordinary share.
These shares will be cancelled.

Following the transaction, the Company's issued ordinary share capital is
36,392,052 (excluding treasury shares) and 39,710,259 (including treasury
shares) ordinary shares of 10p each. The total number of treasury shares held
by the Company is 3,318,207.
