Managing Director - Harry Anagnostaras-Adams commented - "Recent statements by various Spanish Government leaders and other important community and political figures highlight their support for our plans to restart mining at Rio Tinto.

"Accordingly we triggered the next stage of permitting: completion of the technical due diligence reports requested by the regulatory authorities and completion for submission of all remaining regulatory documentation on detailed operating and rehabilitation plans.

"Today's presentation to Mining industry experts gave us the opportunity to communicate that progress as we advance the project towards commissioning restart at the end of 2010 and production settling during 2011."
