Rig Update

Desire Petroleum plc (AIM:DES) the oil and gas exploration company, wholly focused on the North Falkland Basin, is pleased to announce that the Ocean Guardian drilling rig departed from the Cromarty Firth in Scotland at 2.00pm on Thursday 26 November en route to Falkland Island waters.

The journey is anticipated to take around two months with the rig expected to arrive in the Falklands ready to commence drilling around early February 2010.
