Holdings in Company

Akers Biosciences, Inc (AIM:AKR), a leading designer and manufacturer of rapid diagnostic screening and testing products, received notification on 23 November 2009 that Legal & General Group plc, or its subsidiaries ("Legal & General"), have acquired an interest in the Company following the purchase of 6,800,000 Common Shares of nil par value in the Company on 20 November 2009. Following this transaction Legal & General's total interest in the Company is 6,800,000 Common Shares, representing approximately 5.96 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital. 

ABI also received notification on 20 November 2009 that funds controlled by Southridge Capital Management LLC (Brittany Capital) now have an interest in the Company of 15,717,135 Common Shares, representing approximately 13.79 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
