Notice of interest

The Company announces that it has received the following notifications:

(i)     following an acquisition of ordinary shares of 0.04p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") on 
        6 November 2009, Barclays plc, through the legal entities Barclays Stockbrokers Ltd and Gerrard 
        Investment Management Ltd, has an indirect interest in 156,237,354 Ordinary Shares which 
        represents 24.07% of the total voting rights of the Company;

(ii)    following a disposal of Ordinary Shares, on or around 10 November 2009, Energiser Investments 
        plc now holds 80,000,000 Ordinary Shares which represents 12.32% of the total voting rights of 
        the Company; and

(iii)   following a disposal of Ordinary Shares, on or around 10 November 2009, Robert Atwater no 
        longer holds any shares on the Company and accordingly no longer holds a notifiable interest in 
        Ordinary Shares.
