Memorandum of Understanding Signed with Government of South Korea

Healthcare Locums plc, one of the UK's largest and fastest growing specialist health and social care staffing companies, is pleased to announce that its International Permanent Placements division (HCL International) has today signed a Memorandum of Understanding ("MoU") with the South Korean Government's Human Resources Development Service of Korea department ("HRDK"), to exclusively train and develop the country's healthcare staff for international placements.

The MOU builds on the existing relationship which the division established with HRDK two years ago to identify suitable candidates for international placements. Under the terms of the MoU, HCL International will maintain an exclusive recruitment partnership with the HRDK to help train the country's surplus healthcare professionals, including staff nurses, midwives and medical-related support staff. In addition HCL International will also assist in placing these professionals in suitable positions internationally.

The initiative is part of South Korea's ongoing policy of controlled migration whereby surplus healthcare professionals are encouraged to spend time working abroad to boost their professional development as well as enhance the country's international trade relations.
