Syndicate was informed on 5 November 2009 by Legal & General Group Plc ("L&G") that with effect from 3 November 2009, L&G was interested in a direct holding of 84,065,715 ordinary shares of 0.2 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares"), representing approximately 4.66% of the issued share capital of the Company.

L&G's total direct and indirect holding was 196,056,840 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 10.86% of the issued share capital of the Company.
