Balfour Beatty plc (the "Company") received notice today from AXA Investment Managers Limited, on behalf of AXA S.A. ("AXA"), that AXA and its group of companies now hold 22,003,406 50p Ordinary Shares in the Company, representing 3.21% of the total voting rights of the Company.

Of the 22,003,406 50p Ordinary Shares, the Company has been advised that 3,354,351 (0.49%) comprise a direct interest in the Company's total voting rights and that 18,649,055 (2.72%) comprise an indirect interest in the Company's total voting rights.
