Annual General Meeting
IndigoVision designs and manufactures complete IP (Internet based digital technology) security and surveillance systems that allow businesses and governments to secure their assets and processes. The systems are very fast, highly robust, scalable and address all security and surveillance vertical markets.
At IndigoVision's Annual General Meeting being held at 10.00am this morning, Hamish Grossart, Chairman, will make the following statement:
''When we announced our annual results on 30 September 2009, we reported that sales for the first few weeks of the current financial year showed a mixed picture. That mixed sales pattern has continued throughout the first quarter.
In the three months to 31 October 2009, sales overall were marginally ahead of the corresponding quarter last year. Strong year on year growth in the UK, Asia Pacific, and Latin America was offset by lower sales in North America (which had a particularly buoyant first quarter last year), while sales in continental Europe maintained last year's figures.
The outlook for the second quarter is somewhat more encouraging, although patchy business confidence could continue to affect sales in some markets. We have carried out some re-phasing of planned research and development overhead increases, and will continue this until a more consistent pattern of sales growth is evident.''
