In conformity with the Transparency Directive we would like to notify the
market of the following:
As at the close of business on 30 October 2009, Arriva plc's issued share
capital consisted of 199,137,983 ordinary shares of 5p each. Arriva plc does
not hold any shares in Treasury.
The total number of voting rights as at 30 October 2009 in Arriva plc was
199,137,983. This figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the
calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their
interest in, or a change to their interest in, Arriva plc under the FSA's
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
