Lonmin Plc (the "Company") announces that Dr Sivi Gounden has today resigned from his directorship of the Company in the light of the significant time commitment associated with his other business interests. This resignation takes immediate effect.

Roger Phillimore, Chairman of the Board said:

"I would like to extend the Board's thanks to Sivi for his contribution to the Company over the last four years and for the valuable insights which he brought to the Board's deliberations, which we will miss greatly".
