Notification of Interests in Shares

 by persons discharging managerial responsibility

Jørn Berget - Executive Vice President & Managing Director, BG Advance 

The Company has received notification from Jørn Berget that on 13 October 2009 he exercised options under the BG Group Company Share Option Scheme (CSOS) over 142,698 ordinary shares of 10p each ("Shares") at a price of £6.8983 per Share. Subsequently the 142,698 Shares arising from this exercise were sold at a price of £11.30 per Share. 

Mr Berget has also notified that on 14 October 2009 he sold 118,208 Shares at a price of £11.40 per Share.

The exercise of these options and both sales of Shares were carried out in accordance with trading plans, entered into on 28 September 2009, before the Company entered its current close period. 

As a result, Mr Berget's interests in the ordinary share capital of BG Group plc are 6,291 Shares, representing 0.0002% of the Shares in issue.

Mark Carne - Executive Vice President & Managing Director, Europe and Central Asia 

The Company has also received notification from Mark Carne that on 14 October 2009 he exercised options under the CSOS over 109,613 Shares at a price of £4.9942 per Share. Subsequently the 109,613 Shares arising from this exercise were sold at a price of £11.35 per Share.

The exercise of these options and the subsequent sale of the Shares were also carried out in accordance with a trading plan, entered into on 28 September 2009, before the Company entered its current close period.

As a result, Mr Carne's interests in the ordinary share capital of BG Group plc continue to be 123,439 Shares, representing 0.004% of the Shares in issue.
