Ariana Resources  plc  ("the  Company"),  the  gold  exploration  and
development company  focused on  Turkey, announces  that the  Company
were yesterday informed that  on 9 October 2009  Starvest plc had  an
interest in 12,956,000 ordinary shares,  or 7.6% of the issued  share
capital.

inventory  of  the   Company  stands  at   401,000  ounces  of   gold
equivalent.
