Proposed Delisting from AIM

On 29 September 2009, ADL plc ("ADL" or "the Company"), the provider of personal care to the residents of care homes it owns or operates in the UK, announced in its results for the year ended 31 March 2009 that a resolution will be proposed at the AGM on 26 October 2009 to delist the entire issued share capital of ADL from AIM. It further announced that irrevocable undertakings had been received in respect of 83.66% of total share in issue to vote in favour of the resolution.  

Pursuant to this announcement, ADL has today notified the London Stock Exchange that it intends to cancel the admission of the entire issued share capital of ADL from trading on AIM.  Cancellation is conditional only on the relevant resolution being successfully passed at the AGM.

The cancellation of trading of ADL shares on AIM is expected to take effect at 7.00 a.m. on 11 November 2009, being not less than 20 business days from the date of the notice submitted to the London Stock Exchange.  

ADL has appointed its nominated adviser WH Ireland Limited, to advise on appropriate ways the Company may consider to enable the minority shareholders to realise their investments.
