Result of Annual General Meeting and

appointment of Company Secretary

The Board of Monitise plc (LSE:MONI.L) announces that at the Annual General Meeting held today, Tuesday 13 October 2009, all the resolutions set out in the previously published Notice of Annual General Meeting were duly passed, including the re-election of Directors.

Monitise also announces today the appointment of Richard Waller as Company Secretary. Richard, a solicitor, joined Monitise as legal counsel in 2007 and is appointed as Company Secretary following Lee Cameron's recent appointment to the Board.

Duncan McIntyre, chairman of Monitise provided the following comment at the meeting: "We are encouraged by current trading as we embed the early opportunities with Visa, and in particular with continuing strong customer uptake. It is good to recognise Richard's achievements, by his new appointment."
