Enegi Oil Plc 

('Enegi' or 'the Company') 

Clarification of RMRI position

As announced on 9 October, the Company was informed of a share disposal by Risk Management Research Institute Limited ("RMRI"). The disposal was of shares that were issued to RMRI in consideration for services rendered to Enegi, between January and July 2009 for which RMRI received no compensation, as referred to in the announcement of 28 August 2009. RMRI is a company controlled by Alan Minty. Alan Minty has not sold any of his own shareholding and his interest in the Company in his own right and through related parties following this transaction is as follows:

Alan Minty                    7,483,911 shares

RMRI                           4,636,904 shares

Given that RMRI is a company in which Alan Minty is a controlling shareholder, Alan Minty's interest in Enegi is over 12,120,815 shares, representing 18.17 per cent of the Company's issued share capital.

The Company

The Company Enegi Oil Plc is an independent oil and gas group whose objective is the identification, development and operation of hydrocarbon opportunities. The Group's current operations are focused on assets on and around the Port au Port Peninsula in western Newfoundland, which, although lightly explored, is in an active petroleum system with light oil having previously been discovered there. The Group's assets include a proven discovery, Garden Hill South, and four prospects: Shoal Point, Garden Hill Central, Garden Hill North and Lourdes.
