                                                     9th October 2009

CONTRACT TO DELIVER BEATING THE BLUES
                       ACROSS NORTHERN IRELAND

Ultrasis, the leading provider of computer delivered healthcare, is
pleased to announce on the eve of World Mental Health Day (I0th
October) a three year contract to make its computerised Cognitive
Behavioural Therapy (cCBT) programme "Beating the Blues", available
to every GP practice in Northern Ireland. Beating the Blues is the
only computerised treatment programme for mild and moderate
depression recommended by the National Institute for Health and
Clinical Excellence.

The contract has a minimum value of £1.125 million with the
potential, based on the level of demand, to reach £2 million during
the contract period. Beating the Blues will be one of the key
treatment options available to GPs as part of a targeted initiative
to treat common mental health problems in a primary care setting.

Beating the Blues is an eight-week web-based treatment programme for
mild and moderate depression based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
It works by responding to a person's particular circumstances or
problems and teaching them techniques to help them better manage
their wellbeing.

Nigel Brabbins, Ultrasis' CEO, said: "More than 1000 GPs in Northern
Ireland will soon be able to prescribe Beating the Blues directly to
patients suffering from depression or anxiety as part of their
treatment plan."

He added: "The fact that the Northern Ireland Minister for Health,
Michael McGimpsey, has announced this initiative on the eve of World
Mental Health Day demonstrates the importance placed on using Beating
the Blues to increase patient choice and widen access to
psychological therapies. We are very pleased that this effective
treatment will now be available so widely and know, based on
evidence, that people will benefit from using the programme. GPs will
also have an alternative to prescribing anti depressants or putting
their patients on long waiting lists for face to face treatment."
