Issue of Equity

Centamin Egypt Limited (TSX:CEE, ASX:CNT, AIM:CEY) announces that, following the exercise of unquoted broker warrants, 500,000 ordinary shares were issued and allotted at an exercise price of C$1.20 on 07 October 2009. 

Application has been made for the new ordinary shares to be admitted to trading on AIM. The new ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares in the Company and trading of these shares on AIM is expected to commence on 15 October 2009.

The total number of Ordinary Shares on issue following the above issues is 1,015,739,903.
