Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the London Stock Exchange for a total of 6,107,123 Ordinary Shares of 25p each to be admitted to the Official List. It is expected that admission will be granted on 2 October 2009 with dealings commencing on the same day. The shares are being issued in connection with the Hammerson Scrip Dividend Scheme (the 'Scheme'). When issued, these shares will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary Shares.

A guide setting out the terms and conditions of the Scheme (the 'Guide') was posted to shareholders on 27 August 2009 and is available on the Company's website: www.hammerson.com.  The Guide is also available for inspection at the UK Listing Authority's Document Viewing Facility situated at The Financial Services Authority, 25 The North Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London E14 5HS.
