Board Appointment

Zetar, the AIM listed confectionery and snack foods group, is pleased to announce that Roger Matthews has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect. Roger Matthews will also become Chairman of the audit committee and a member of remuneration committee of the Board. 

Roger has extensive board experience within listed companies.  He is currently Non-Executive Chairman of MITIE Group PLC, the FTSE 250 strategic outsourcing and asset management company, and Non-Executive Chairman of LSL Property Services PLC, one of the leading residential property services companies in the UK. He is also Trustee and Chairman of the Audit Committee at Cancer Research UK.

Previously Roger has held posts including Group Finance Director of J. Sainsbury PLC and Managing Director and Finance Director of Compass Group plc. Roger is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Roger Matthews was appointed Non-Executive Chairman of Land of Leather Holdings plc in July 2005 and was Chairman of the board when it appointed administrators to the company on 12 January 2009.  The administration process is still ongoing.

Roger Matthews was a minority shareholder and Non-Executive Director of Zenergy UK Limited, a private health club, from November 2000 to September 2004. He resigned as a director in September 2004 upon completion of a refinancing of the business. The company filed for voluntary winding-up in November 2005 with debts of approximately £207,000.

Roger Matthews currently holds no ordinary shares in the Company.

Other than as set out above, Roger Matthews has confirmed that there is no further information required to be disclosed under paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules.
