Sunkar Resources plc (AIM:SKR) announces that Mr. David Argyle, Non-Executive Director, has resigned from the board of directors of the Company with effect from 24 September 2009, to focus on other existing commitments.  

The board wishes to thank Mr. Argyle for the significant contribution he has made to the development of the Company's Chilisai Phosphate Fertiliser Project (the 'Project') since his appointment in November 2008 and wishes him well for the future. Mr. Argyle has agreed to continue to contribute to the Project as a consultant to the Company for the foreseeable future.
